While we at SCA Iowa understand that gender is a construct, historically it’s also a way clothing type was determine through our historic period. Any clothing which was worn by all humans, regardless of gender, will appear in all applicable sorts.
We also recognize that certain cultures acknowledged additional genders beyond the binary male/female. Currently these are housed in the “Other” category. Currently the “Other” category is empty, but we look forward to filling it with wonderful historic clothing (you can contribute yours using the “Submit Entry” menu above.)
